Lizzy Young’s Coocoo Banana Cassette Out Now!

State Champion presents a new cassette release of Coocoo Banana, the debut album from French-American pop artist Lizzy Young. 

The album which premiered on October 23, 2020 on vinyl, cd, and digital was dubbed as “a 2020 must” by the BBC6’s Tom Ravenscroft. 

The ten songs are a mixture of introspective lo-fi sounds and dancy pop rhythms with Lizzy’s dreamy voice standing out in each.

Born in the Parisian suburbs and based in Brooklyn, Lizzy’s been making music with various artists along the way as well as playing many Brooklyn venues DJ’ing cassettes.
