Scrunchies is a “post-everything” rock band formed by guitarist Laura Larson (she/her) with drummer Danielle Cusack (she/her) after playing a short stint together in a Halloween cover band of the Buzzcocks called the Buzzcunts.

Larson (Baby Guts, Kitten Forever) met Cusack (Bruise Violet) after a mutual admiration of each others' bands as well as a shared DIY ethos. For their sophomore album Feral Coast, they are joined by Matt Castore (he/him; Condominium) on bass. Castore is a revered underground music engineer who has recorded a number of Larson’s bands over the years as well as Scrunchies’ first album Stunner.The trio brings a loud and energetic live set, recalling the messy and cathartic energy of late 80s grunge, punk, and post-punk bands; with heavy and melodic rock scorchers with surrealist lyrics that explore the personal and political.
